The participants attended 6 full day sessions which educated participants in the use of green assessments. The Team Trainers, Dave Tooker and Phil Van Oss, both engineers and employees of HVTDC focused on productivity and environmental principles with an emphasis on energy, pollution and waste stream reductions. In addition, a comprehensive review of available resources and outreach programs geared towards the transformation to energy efficiency, sustainability, reduction of toxic chemical use, air emissions and waste generation was provided.

The participants of the Green Training recently gave some feedback on their experience
Lisa Dingas, Marketing Manager of Indotronix International Corporation recently wrote the following of her attendance at the training, “I would like to thank the Hudson Valley Technology Development Center for the wonderful “Green Team Leader” seminar. This seminar was engaging from beginning to the end (no small feat at Day 6). They touched upon a wide range of subjects from lean manufacturing to renewable energy. It came at a perfect time when our company had just initiated a Sustainability committee to investigate how we can become more energy efficient and environmentally-conscious. The guest speakers were informative and pertinent to our local business and touched upon subjects which are here today, i.e., NYSERDA grants, and expected tomorrow, i.e., $845 billion expected to be spent by “green” consumers by 2015. I want to thank Dave and Phil and the rest of the HVTDC group for this wonderful seminar.”
